Yoshimoto Kogyo will hold the Makuhari Beach Fireworks Festa 2026 (the 48th Chiba Citizens’ Fireworks Festival) at Makuhari Seaside Park (2-116 Hibino, Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) on August 1.

The “Chiba Citizens’ Fireworks Festival,” which drew a record attendance of about 84,000 people the last time it was held, is said to be a popular summer tradition in Chiba City. This year’s event, held to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba Prefecture, will be the first in the event’s history to shoot off 24,000 fireworks, one of the largest in Japan, under the theme “Fireworks for the Future: Love & Peace.

As a special program, in addition to approximately 100 large fireworks of 5″ or larger, including shaku-dama, and approximately 900 marine fireworks, creative fireworks such as the moon and star pattern and the number “900” named after Chiba City will be shot with music.

The fireworks will be launched diagonally from Makuhari Beach to Tokyo Bay, with a maximum of approximately 5,000 fireworks over the sea, up to approximately 150 meters in size, and a new fan-shaped effect firework that will provide a three-dimensional effect from all angles. Other highlights of the festival include a shakudama, which will be launched in time with a message to be sent to a loved one, and a grand finale in which approximately 10,000 fireworks and golden-colored Kin-kan chrysanthemums will be launched all at once.

There are also 13 types of paid seats available, and they are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis through FANY tickets starting at 1:00 p.m. on May 22.
