Kärcher’s “Zubora Cleaning Exhibition” in Shibuya, Tokyo. Includes a hands-on corner where visitors can clean their own shoes with a handy steamer.

Posted on June 28, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Kärcher Japan will hold a PR event for its SC 1 Multi handheld steamer series, “How Much Can You Allow? Zuborah Cleaning Exhibition” will be held at OPENBASE SHIBUYA (1F Udagawa-cho Building, 14-13 Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). The event will run from June 11 to 14, and admission is free.

From among more than 300 “A case of unscrupulous cleaning,” which were collected on the official X website in advance, episodes such as “removing glasses when cleaning so as not to be bothered by fine dirt” and “not cleaning places out of reach” were displayed on panels, and visitors were asked to vote for “acceptable” or “unacceptable” by placing a sticker on the panels.

In addition, there will be a special exhibition of four-frame comic strips of selected episodes by illustrator Furueratori, as well as an original four-frame comic strip, exclusive to the venue, in which he has drawn his own Zubora cleaning episodes.

A hands-on corner where visitors can actually try out the SC 1 Multi series will also be set up at the event. Visitors can steam-clean their own sneakers on the spot and wear them home.

As a special offer for visitors, three winners will be selected in a drawing from among those who follow the company’s official X account (@KarcherJapan) and post photos of the event with the hashtag “#How far can you allow yourself to go with zuborako cleaning”.
