JR Kyushu renews “Yufuin Ticket,” a special ticket for Hakata to Yufuin! Yufuin Ticket” renewed; QR ticketless service eliminates the need for ticketing

JR Kyushu has renewed the “Yufuin Ticket! Yufuin Ticket” will be renewed.

You can also go this way! Yufuin Ticket is an online-only ticket that allows you to take a limited express train such as Sonic from Hakata (Fukuoka City) to Yufuin at a discount. You can take a limited express train from Hakata to Oita and a local train from Oita to Yufuin.

It is already on sale from April 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, and will be renewed for rides on July 1.

The new system supports QR Ticketless, eliminating the need to issue tickets at stations by selecting “QR Ticket Ride” when making a reservation. In addition, while the current version of the system requires a ticket to be issued and a reserved seat to be received, it will now be possible to reserve a reserved seat at the time of reservation. And a new fare for reserved seats in green carriages has been newly established.

The set-up period is from July 1 to March 31, 2027, with sales from June 1 to March 31, 2027.

However, with the renewal, prices have been raised, with regular car fares from 3,700 yen to 4,300 yen for adults and from 1,850 yen to 2,150 yen for children.
