Hydrangeas are in full bloom at Moomin Valley Park. There are many indoor activities, and you can get limited postcards on rainy days.

Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture), operated by Moomin Story, is holding “Umbrella Sky and Hydrangea Road” from May 16, featuring approximately 1,000 hydrangea plants in full bloom.

This is in conjunction with the “Moomin Valley and Umbrellas” early summer event, which creates a photogenic space with colorful umbrellas hanging overhead along the 200 meter long road leading to the Moomin Valley. Along the road, which is brightly decorated with umbrellas, hydrangea varieties such as hot red, Parisienne, and early blue are at their best.

In addition, hydrangeas will appear at various spots in the park, and the “Flower Terrace on the Lake,” a huge flower bed that looks great in photos, will also offer a version of hydrangeas only available now.

Until June 30, the “Rainy Day Limited Present Campaign” will be held. Visitors who shop or dine at the stores, cafeteria, and café in the park’s experiential exhibition facility “KOKEMUS” will receive a Moomin postcard with a rain-themed design.

Moomin Valley Park offers family fun in all weather conditions, including shows in the “Theatre of Emma,” which has been renovated into an all-weather theater, the “KOKEMUS” exhibition where visitors can encounter the world of picture books and artwork, and the “Moomin Valley Playground” with educational equipment from Northern Europe under the supervision of Bonelund. The museum offers a wide range of activities for families to enjoy regardless of the weather.
