First experience of Vietnam Airlines business class! Departing in the morning and arriving in Da Nang in the early afternoon, I was able to play as much as I could on the first day!

Flight VN316: Departing Da Nang (01:05) and arriving at Narita (08:30) on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using Airbus A321 aircraft. The aircraft used was an Airbus A321, and we were seated in business class for the first time. After receiving a welcome drink, I immediately checked the menu. I found Vietnamese iced coffee in the drink list. I requested a drink along with my lunch. Once the plane stabilized, the service started immediately. Lunch was served after 11:30 a.m., so we started with the aforementioned iced coffee and snacks. They also recommended Vietnamese white coffee and Lotus green tea.

Japanese food was chosen for the in-flight meal. Arriving at Da Nang International Airport in no time. Lunch was served after 11:30am. This time, I chose Japanese food. When the tablecloths are spread out, the special feeling is heightened. The course was a solid one, and we were very satisfied with everything from appetizers to main dishes and desserts. By the end of the meal, we were over Taiwan. And in no time at all, we were in Vietnam. Before our arrival, the CA explained to us the terrain we could see from the window. After arrival, Vietnam does not require an E-VISA-like visa to enter the country, and we were able to smoothly enter the country as we were. I think it is reassuring for beginner travelers that they do not have to go through the hassle of obtaining a visa. Arrive early in the afternoon to make the most of your first day. You can visit the most popular stores in the center of Danang on foot. After dropping off your luggage at the Four Points by Sheraton Danang hotel, you will be on your way to the city of Danang. As a major resort area, Da Nang is very safe and secure, so women walking alone have no problem as long as they are careful about pickpockets and other petty crimes! The first place we visited was the “Han Market” with its many stores. It is a huge market for tourists, with stalls full of local flavor and a wide variety of souvenirs such as coffee. Nuts, especially cashew nuts, are a specialty of Vietnam. Be careful with your baggage here. Keep your bag in front of you to avoid falling prey to pickpockets.

Da Nang is a battleground for chocolate! You must try Vietnamese chocolate, which is in the midst of evolution! Next, we went on foot to a nearby chocolate store. Chocolate in hot weather? You may think, “Why would I eat chocolate in such hot weather? Naturally, the number of chocolate stores is also increasing. Walking through the streets of Da Nang, you will be amazed at the number of specialty stores lining the streets. ALLUVIA CHOCOLATE Da Nang, which we visited this time, is a brand that offers chocolates made from cacao grown in the Mekong Delta area in the south of Vietnam, and offers unique flavors in a bean-to-bar style. The packaging incorporates Vietnamese culture and makes a great souvenir. Then head to Maison Marou Flagship Da Nang, a chocolate store with a store across the street. This shop sells chocolates made from cacao from six different areas, including Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Dong Nai. The chocolates are carefully made with Vietnamese cane sugar and can be observed in the store’s workshop. The packaging is inspired by local nature and has a modern look.

From handmade accessories to basket bags. Time melts. …… This is a shopping paradise! There are many boutique stores in the center of Da Nang, and it is fun to stroll around and find a shop that says, “Hey, you’ve got good taste! It is also an interesting place to stroll around and encounter stores that have a “Wow, you’ve got some good taste! Soulcraft Jewelry, an accessory store from Da Nang, is one such store, offering handmade items such as one-of-a-kind jewelry and clothing for your change of clothes during your stay. If you are looking for a variety of goods to take home as souvenirs, visit Hoa Ly Shop, which is also within walking distance. You will be overwhelmed by the store, which is a paradise of basket bags. Other miscellaneous goods such as tableware made from buffalo horn, passport cases remade from feed bags, and bags are also available! If you visit, you may lose track of time. Cash is the best way to pay. In most cases, especially at markets, only local currency is accepted, so it is a good idea to exchange more money in Japan. For example, if you want to convert “100,000 VND” into Japanese yen, just take out the second half “000” and multiply by 6, which means 100,000 VND = 600 yen. If you have this in mind, your bill will go smoothly!
