AEON TOWN will open a shopping center “AEON TOWN Numazu” (1-2 Takashimahonmachi, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, etc.) on the site of the former Ishibashi Plaza. The opening is scheduled for summer 2027 or later.
The site area is 31,752m2 (approx. 9605 tsubo), and the structure is a steel-framed two-story building with a total floor area of approximately 14,120m2. 50 stores are planned to open as tenants, including supermarkets, restaurants, drugstores, clinics, and services. There will be 525 parking spaces and 351 bicycle parking spaces, and a plaza will be located in the center of the facility.
The concept is “a comfortable, park-like resting place for everyday use,” and the plaza in the center of the facility will be used as a shaded resting space, a playground for children, and an event venue, aiming to create a lively community.
The proposed site is located within walking distance north of JR Numazu Station, facing Prefectural Route 162, which connects to National Route 1 and Route 246. The site is a vacant area created four years after the closure of Ishibashi Plaza, a commercial facility that was popular with the community for over 40 years.
