Skymark Airlines became the first Japanese airline to receive a Boeing 737-8 aircraft on April 29 (local time). The registration number of the first aircraft is JA738A. The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at Haneda Airport on May 4.
The 737-8 aircraft of the 737 MAX family is the state-of-the-art aircraft that will replace the current 737-800 aircraft, and the aircraft to be introduced by Skymark will have the same number of seats, 177. The new 737-8 will be powered by CFM’s LEAP-1B engine, increasing its range from 5440 km to 6480 km, and reducing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 15%.
