Due to the earthquake that struck off the coast of Sanriku in the Tohoku region at 16:53 on April 20, operations have been suspended on the Tohoku Shinkansen Line, Sendai Airport Access Line, and other lines.
As of 5:52 p.m., the following lines are covered: Tohoku Shinkansen (Tokyo to Shin-Aomori) up and down, Akita Shinkansen, limited express Inaho, Joban Line (Haranomachi to Sendai Station), Senseki Line (Higashi Shiogama to Matsushima-kaigan Station), Tohoku Main Line (between Shiraishi and Natori Station), and Sendai Airport Access Line.
The “Dokotore” website provided by JR East provides operation information for the company’s 58 conventional lines, Akita Shinkansen, Yamagata Shinkansen, BRT sections, and two lines on the Shinano Railway line.
