Visa Worldwide Japan is offering a “Touch and Get Visa Discount Campaign” for train rides with touch payment! Touch Visa Discount Campaign! for train passengers using touch payment from May 1 to 31, 2012.
During the period, 30% of the fare will be refunded when you use Visa’s touch payment system at 46 railroad operators in Japan. The maximum amount of cash back is 600 yen per Visa card. In addition to touch payments with plastic cards, payments with wearable devices such as smartphones and smartwatches are also eligible.
To apply for the campaign, an e-mail address and card number must be registered in advance on the dedicated “Visa Wari” page. The card number must remain registered without being deactivated from Visa Wari between the time of use and when the reward is granted.
