Nara Prefecture will open a free Park & Ride parking lot in the Nara Park area during Golden Week. The period is Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 25 to May 6. Parking hours are from 8:00 to 21:00 (registration until 15:00).
The maximum number of parking spaces varies for each parking lot, and for the Nara Prefectural Convention Center parking lot only, the first 97 spaces in excess will be paid for. Free round-trip bus tickets from the parking lot to Nara Park will be distributed to visitors.
