JR East will continue to sell the Adult’s Holiday Club Pass, which is limited to members of the Adult’s Holiday Club, in fiscal 2026. The pass will be on sale and available for use a total of three times, and the second time period has been significantly changed from the end of November to early December to the end of August to early September beginning this fiscal year.
Adult’s Holiday Club Pass is a free ticket that allows unlimited travel on eligible sections of JR East Japan and Hokkaido for five consecutive days. You can choose from three areas: East Japan, East Japan-Hokkaido, and Hokkaido. The pass is valid for unreserved seats in ordinary cars on limited express, express, rapid, and ordinary trains, and up to six reserved-seat rides are also permitted.
For Green Car (limited to Ekinetto), up to 6 times for a reserved seat in a standard car or Green Car. However, only the fare is valid for Grand Class and Premium Green Car.
Tickets are sold at Ekinet, reserved-seat ticket machines at major stations, Midori-no madoguchi (ticket window), and Ekitabi Concierge. All of them accept “Otona no Holiday Club Card” (credit card) as the payment method. The ticket prices at Ekinet are more reasonable than those at other stations.
For example, a round trip from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori (in a standard car) costs ¥34,400 for a Middle Member (5% discount), but ¥20,000 (a savings of ¥14,400) with the Adult’s Holiday Club Pass.
In accordance with the fare revision in March, the East Japan area will see a price increase from the first session of FY2026. Compared with the Ekinet ordinary fare, the fare for East Japan is 18,800 yen → 20,000 yen (+1,200 yen), for East Japan and Hokkaido 26,740 yen → 28,000 yen (+1,260 yen), and for Hokkaido it will remain unchanged (18,070 yen).
