IHG Hotels & Resorts announced that Holiday Inn Express Sapporo Susukino (tentative name) (6-14-1, Minami Gojo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan) will open in July.
IHG will manage the hotel, which is being renovated jointly by Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Tokyo Tatemono, and The Sankei Building, as the second Holiday Inn Express in Japan.
Located a five-minute walk from Susukino Station on the municipal subway Nanboku Line and a three-minute walk from the Shiseikan Shogakko-mae stop on the streetcar line, it will have 223 rooms (planned). The facility will be a 13-story, steel-framed structure.
The facility will be the first facility in Japan to adopt the brand’s “Generation 5” design for the next generation, which includes an Express Cafe, fitness center, and laundry.
