Ms. Kikuchi of Shirohato Food Industry: “I hope you enjoy the space for healing and memories” We interviewed Ms. Yoko Kikuchi, Executive Officer and Deputy General Manager of Marketing Development Division/ Public Relations and Creative, 6th Tier of Shirohato Food Industry, which operates LaPoppo, about the opening of LaPoppo Links Umeda, the official cafe of EXPO2025. Regarding the eat-in restaurant, which requires advance reservations, she said, “We have a burger and a plate of sweets, both of which are original menu items and highly recommended. You can also take home a fun memory with a mug filled with ice cream, a Myakmyak coaster, and a charm. This is not available for takeout, so we encourage you to enjoy it in the restaurant,” he said. The charm you can get now is an acrylic key chain, but this design and others are also limited-time items, and the contents will change over the next six months. The takeout menu is full of love for Myakmyak, whether it is the shape, print, or color of Myakmyak, and all of them have different textures and tastes for customers to enjoy. In addition to the “Myakmyak-yaki,” which sold 2.6 million servings during the Osaka-Kansai Expo, an arranged version, “Mottochiri Myakmyak-yaki,” with a different dough and flavor, is also available. Both come with a Myakmyak sticker. The Mottochiri Myakmyakkuyaki is limited to 100 servings a day, and the flavors and colors change with the seasons. The store will be open until October 31, but during that time, the limited-time items and goods that come with the sets will change, so Kikuchi says he can enjoy visiting the store as many times as he likes. I especially hope that customers who enjoyed the Osaka-Kansai Expo will enjoy the healing and memorable space with Myakmyak,” he said with a smile. Reservations for eat-in can be made through the official website. However, (as of April 27) reservations for up to May 11 are sold out, and subsequent dates are expected to be hotly contested. Remember to check the reservation start date and time.
