Disney Store announced that it will open a new store, Disney Store Futako-Tamagawa Rise S.C. Store, on May 27. In conjunction with the opening at Futakotamagawa Rise Shopping Center (2-21-1 Tamagawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), the store will release 11 limited items. A campaign to commemorate the opening will also be held at the same time.
The store design is based on the concept of a dream world enchanted by Mickey Mouse dressed as the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Mickey’s statue welcomes guests, and beyond the statue is a space that evokes the image of a magical sunset cloud. The space is decorated with glittering goldsmith-style ornaments and a design reminiscent of a castle tower. A “Magical Screen” has also been installed. Visitors can enjoy a device that allows Disney princesses to appear when they touch the screen.
The store carries approximately 1,300 items. On the day of the grand opening, reservations are required to visit the Disney Store using the Disney Store Club app.
Store exclusive items include plush keychains (2,800 yen), keychains (1,200 yen), and tote bags (1,200 yen). The popular plushie series Urubocha-chan plushie (1,800 yen) will also be sold.
Both items feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in yellow and white costumes. The egg-like coloring is adorable. All items, including those with the words “FUTAKO TAMAGAWA” on them, show the love for Futakodama and the store’s limited edition feel.
The store will hold a present campaign to commemorate the grand opening: purchases of 5,000 yen or more will receive an original tote bag designed exclusively for the Futakotamagawa Rise S.C. store. A store-exclusive store card will also be distributed to those who wish to receive one. The limited quantities will end as soon as they are gone. In addition, a campaign for 5X Disney Store Club points will be held at the same time.
