ANA and IHG Hotels & Resorts entered into a comprehensive loyalty partnership on April 22, and will offer a series of three benefits to ANA Mileage Club (AMC) members and IHG One Rewards members beginning in October.
The first is “Status Match,” which offers IHG One Rewards status to AMC status members, allowing them to take advantage of priority preferential and incidental services such as room upgrades and late check-out when staying at the hotel.
For example, if you have Diamond + More status on ANA, you will receive 68 IHG Elite Qualifying Nights, which is the number of nights required to earn IHG status. Diamond Elite members need 70 nights, Platinum Elite members need 40 nights, Gold Elite members need 20 nights, and Silver Elite members need 10 nights (which can also be achieved by earning points).
Since ANA’s Diamond + More members will have automatically earned 68 nights, they will be matched to IHG’s “Diamond Elite” status by earning the remaining two nights of achievement and will have eight IHG Milestone Rewards to choose from.
