Takeshiba Area Management and Takeshiba Town Design have launched a DX pilot implementation of a boat pier operation and a new cruise project in the Takeshiba area of Tokyo, together with the operator TFHD digital, Tokyu Land Corporation, JR East and others.
This project is designed to revitalize the waterfront space in Takeshiba area. The project will streamline the previously analog application and schedule management of events utilizing the pier and operating boats through the introduction of digital technology, creating an environment that is more easily utilized by surrounding businesses.
In conjunction with this, the company will roll out tourism measures such as a night cruise to view the fountain show in Odaiba. In addition, “Tokyo Cruise Trip,” a portal site that promotes the attractions of the Bay Area, will be revamped to improve convenience through multilingual support and an online reservation function.
Tokyo Bay Fountain Cruise, a new waterfront activity, will be offered every Friday evening starting April 24 (four departures from Takeshiba at 17:40, 18:40, 19:40, and 20:40).
This is a 50-minute night cruise that starts and ends at the “Takeshiba District Boat Terminal (in front of Waters Takeshiba),” a 6-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station, and cruises in the direction of Odaiba, where visitors can view the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Tokyo Aqua Symphony” giant fountain show and the night view of Tokyo Bay from the boat.
The fare is 5,000 yen per person and includes one beer or other beverage. Reservations will be accepted from mid-April on the dedicated page on the “Tokyo Cruise Trip” portal site.
