Enoshima Electric Railway will start selling “Commemorative Tickets for the Inaugural Service of New Train Type 700” on April 19, which will include three D-type hard ticket commemorative tickets and a mount for 700 yen. The tickets will be available at Fujisawa, Shichirigahama, and Kamakura stations, as well as through the mail order service “Kippu to Tetsukomono.
This ticket commemorates the debut of the “Type 700,” the first new train in 20 years since the “Type 500” in 2006. The ticket and the ticket board are designed with photos of the manufacturing process, exterior, and interior of the train, as well as a diagram of the train.
Tickets are numbered and valid for one ride only between April 19 and October 31. The number of tickets sold is limited to 2,000 and will end as soon as they are gone.
The new 700 class train is scheduled to start commercial operation on April 19, the same day.
