Curry restaurant closes at high speed at former site of “Kosoku Soba”? Shinkaichi Station is undergoing tenant replacement.

A “fast turnover” of restaurant tenants is taking place in the ticket gates of Kobe Rapid Transit Railway’s Shinkaichi Station, where four companies and four train lines converge. Since the closing in June 2021 of “Kosoku Soba,” a station buckwheat noodle store located on the transfer line between Kobe Electric Railway and other companies, another buckwheat noodle store that opened the following year has also closed. The curry store that opened in its place closed at the end of April 2026, only six months after its opening. Kosoku Soba, which had been in business here for more than 40 years, had long been popular as a representative of Kansai ekisoba. First, let us reminisce about the nostalgic days of Kosoku Soba and look at the current situation at Shinkaichi Station, where the number of people changing trains seems to be decreasing.
