Posted on April 12, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Kansai Airport will open 24 stores in a new section of Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 (T1) on June 2 as the final phase (Phase 4) of renovations to the international departure area.

This completes all phases of the T1 renovation project, which has been underway for approximately five years. The area of the international flight area (central part) will be 1.6 times larger than before the renovation, and the north-south area will be newly lined up with a wide range of stores, including luxury brands, including the first at a domestic airport, specialty products of Japan and Osaka, carrer goods, and popular fast food restaurants.

The first food court with four restaurants will allow visitors to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine until just before their departure from Japan.
