Audio manufacturer final launched a project for its ultra-small earplugs “YOKONE Side Sleeper” on GREEN FUNDING, a crowdfunding service, at 18:00 on March 27, 2012.
This product was created in the process of designing and developing earpieces that provide both “well-balanced sound insulation in each band” and “a comfortable fit. Unlike conventional earplugs that are stuffed deep into the ear, the company has minimized the part of the ear that touches the ear to reduce the feeling of occlusion, and by using soft silicone, it has achieved a comfortable fit that is not burdensome even when sleeping on the side or turning over in bed.
Three types of earpieces are available for different applications: a “firm sound insulation type” with two layers of soft silicone and high sound silicone, a “gentle sound insulation type” with a soft silicone shade and shaft, and a “soft wearing type” suitable for side sleeping and long-term use by using the softest silicone in the series. The “soft wearing type” is the softest silicone in the series, making it suitable for side sleeping and prolonged use.
Earpieces are available in three sizes (S/M/L) and silicone shafts in three different lengths (S/M/L).
The planned general sales price is 9,940 yen for a set of three types, but GREEN FUNDING is offering an early bird discount of 60% off (3,976 yen) and other discounts.
