Universal Studios Japan will open “Souvenir Freelance Story Walk: A Journey of Remembrance,” the first limited-time attraction in collaboration with the TV animation “Souvenir Freelance,” on May 30.
This ultra-immersive walk-through attraction, which immerses visitors in the story with the Frierens and their friends for a soothing experience, is the first of a new format of attractions to be created at the park: the Universal Story Walk.
USJ has been holding “Universal Cool Japan 2026,” an event that brings together five major Japanese entertainment brands since January 30, with “Detective Conan” (through June 30), “Jutsu Kaisen” (through August 18), which is popular for its new attractions and limited food, Keigo Higashino’s Following the original “Masquerade” series (through June 30) and “Monster Hunter Wilds” (through May 17), the fifth film, “Sougou no Freiren” is now available.
The new “Funeral Freelance Story Walk – A Journey of Remembrance” can be enjoyed until January 11, 2027.
Dynamic lighting and sound, powerful magic such as Zoltrak projected on a giant screen, fan-inspiring props that recreate Freelen’s wand and Himmel’s statue, and a participatory production that allows guests to control the magic will be presented.
