UNIQLO to Launch “Monchichi” UT in Early May. Total of 8 retro cute types from Showa to Heisei era.

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

UNIQLO will release a new UT collection in early May in collaboration with Monchichi.

The lineup includes four relaxed-fit women’s T-shirts (XS-3XL, ¥1,990 each) and four kids’ T-shirts (100-160 cm, ¥990 each). The adorable expressions and figures of Monchichi are designed on natural-colored fabrics that are easy to use in everyday life.

The use of photographic prints rather than illustrations is also a key point, and the lineup includes cute retro designs such as Monchichi plush toys from its early birth in 1974, when it had blue eyes, a version with a large group of friends, and Babychichi, born in the Heisei era, and Monchichi with its colorful fur.
