Traffic restrictions for March 8 “Nagoya City Marathon 2026”. Beltway is closed at Bantelin Dome – Shinmizubashi, detour to expressway, etc.

The Marathon Festival Nagoya-Aichi Executive Committee will enforce traffic regulations in conjunction with the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2026, Nagoya City Marathon 2026, and Nagoya Women’s Wheelchair Marathon 2026 to be held on March 8.

On the day of the event, from around 8:20 a.m. to 4:20 p.m., vehicular traffic will be prohibited as the race progresses. Regulations will be enforced mainly along the Loop Line from Yada 5-chome to Shinzui-bashi, as well as on Sakura-dori and other streets.

In addition, the area around the Bantelindome Nagoya, the starting and finishing point of the event, will be restricted from around 6:00 a.m., and some exits on the Tokyo Metropolitan Loop Line and Route 2 Higashiyama Line of the expressway will also be closed.

The organizers are asking visitors to refrain from traveling on the course and surrounding roads while the restrictions are in place, and are also calling for caution as crossing the course will not be allowed. In particular, while the ring road is restricted, traffic on public roads between the city center and the eastern part of the city will be difficult, requiring detours or the use of expressways.

Regulation times at major locations are as follows

Banteling Dome Nagoya west side (around the starting point): around 6:00 – 16:20

Loop Line (Mizuho Undojo Nishi – Shinmizubashi): 9:00 am – 12:20 pm

Sakuradori (Takadake – Nichigin-mae): approx. 9:50 – 15:35

Wakamiya Odori (Nishiki Dori Fushimi to Chiyoda 1): approx. 10:05 – 13:35

Otsu Dori (Minomaru 1 – City Hall – Johoku Bridge): approx. 10:25 – 15:20
