Sotetsu Group unveils details of its exhibit at the Gardening Expo. SOTETSU PARK” with new train cars, a large roof, and children’s play area

Sotetsu Group has announced the details of its exhibit at the International Horticultural Exposition 2027 (GREEN x EXPO 2027), which will be held from March 19, 2027. They will release a special website during March 2026, one year before the event.

SOTETSU PARK” opened in the “Kids Village” area where children, the leaders of the next generation, can get close to nature and learn while having fun. The concept is “Friends and Sumika,” and the site area, including playground equipment and planting area, is approximately 1,000m2, with the building approximately 8m high and 30m in diameter.

A dynamic, large roof is now in place on the grounds that protects the exhibits from sun and rain and can be climbed as a playground.

The playground equipment and landscaping are inspired by the rich nature along the Sotetsu Line, including streams, rivers, and farmland. As a gentle link between nature and daily life, an actual 13000 Series train, a new model that will begin commercial operation on March 30, and rails (sleepers) will be installed.

Various exhibitions and workshops by Sotetsu Group companies, Yokohama City organizations, and university students are scheduled to be held at the plaza and stage in the center of the park.

In addition, collection cards featuring original characters based on the theme of creatures living along the rail line will be created. The characters will appear along the Sotetsu Line before the event period to provide information about SOTETSU PARK.
