Orange Page commemorates “Suica’s Penguin” in 2026. The first letter book is released today and contains 75 works including new drawings.

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Orange Page released “Suica no Penguin Letter Book” on March 31, 2012, A5 size, 160 pages, priced at 1870 yen.

Popular picture book author/illustrator, Sakazaki Kichiharu, looks back on the history of “Suica’s Penguin” in this memorial volume based on his popular “Penguin Diary” series, which has been published for about 20 years, as well as other works. It introduces 75 works selected from an archive of approximately 2,600 pieces.

The illustrations are selected from “Suica’s Penguin Railway Series,” which is popular for its “station attendant pose,” in addition to those published in Penguin Diary. This special collection is a must-have for Suica’s Penguin fans, and is fun just to look at.

The illustrations can be removed from the book one by one, and the reverse side can not only be used as a letter paper, but can also be cut out and inserted into a smartphone cover, or arranged as a key ring or interior decoration.

Orange Page has designated 2026 as the “Suica’s Penguins” Memorial Year and plans to develop not only the letter book but also multifaceted products and publishing projects. In conjunction with the release of this book, a commemorative illustration of Suica penguins and baby penguins celebrating as a marching band was released.

The latest information about the merchandise is available on the official X “Suica no Penguin Goods Manager @Orangepage” (@TrainOrangepage) and other sites.
