Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Eight transportation companies in the Kansai region, including JR West, will continue to sell the “ONE KANSAI QR Ticket,” which allows unlimited rides on applicable sections. The tickets will be available only through the “KANSAI MaaS” smartphone application and website, and will not be sold at station ticket vending machines or ticket counters.

Three types of passes will remain on sale: “ONE KANSAI Nara Digital Round Trip Free Pass,” “ONE KANSAI Kyoto 3-way Pass,” and “ONE KANSAI Wakayama 2-way Pass. Passengers can freely get on and off the trains in the applicable section by passing the QR code on the ticket over the corresponding ticket gate.

The ONE KANSAI QR ticket has been sold since November 2025 in cooperation with JR West, Kintetsu, Keihan, Nankai, Hankyu, Nara Kotsu, Wakayama Bus, and Osaka Metro, and will be extended due to its popularity.

The “ONE KANSAI Osaka Smart Access Pass” (on sale until May 31), which allows unlimited rides on all Osaka Metro lines and applicable JR West lines, will also continue to be available after June 1. Details will be announced on the websites of each company.
