Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Ito Hotel New Okabe (2-1-1 Sakuragi-cho, Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture), located in Ito Onsen, Izu, is now offering an overnight buffet plan with two meals. The regular price starts at 19,400 yen per person for a standard Japanese bed twin room for two persons.
This hot spring resort has been loved by many great writers and artists since ancient times. There are two large bathhouses with different atmospheres, and the elegant garden bath with Izu stones is said to be the most popular. Visitors can enjoy the famous hot spring baths both in the morning and at night, as if they were on a hot-spring tour.
Dinner is the inn’s exclusive “KINMEDAI ZUKURI and ABABI seafood buffet,” which just started in February. Kinmedai, a local fish representative of Izu, is served in a variety of ways, including sashimi, nigiri, simmered dishes, and takikomi-gohan (cooked rice). The all-you-can-eat seafood buffet also includes steamed abalone.
The menu also features about 90 dishes, including popular roast beef, nigiri (hand-rolled medium fatty tuna), Fuji salmon and other sashimi, Inatori fried rice, a local delicacy of Higashi Izu, seasonal fruits and cakes.
