Universal Studios Japan will hold its 25th anniversary event “Discover U! (Discover U!)” event starting March 4. In this article, we take a look at the limited-edition goods that went on sale on March 2, prior to the start of the event.
The “Pokemon” series, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game’s release in 2026 and the start of a new project with USJ was just announced in January, offers Pikachu, Puddle, and Moclaw goods. The items will be sold at Space Fantasy Station and other stores.
The lineup includes a mascot with a shoulder strap that can go anywhere with you, and a cute plush toy that looks adorable snuggled up in its parade costume and matching silk hat. Monster Ball patterned sweatshirts and Ramune cases will also be available.
Pikachu is the star of the lineup, which includes a catsuit that is sure to stand out, a plush hat with ears that move when the pumps on the left and right ends of the strings (at your hands) are pressed, T-shirts with Pikachu in various expressions, glasses, necklaces, fans, and many other items that will look great in photos. Pikachu is a very popular character in Japan.
Be sure to check out the pin badge and can badge sets, key chains, ballpoint pens, and other miscellaneous goods, as well as drink bottles and other daily-use items. Also, the “Kastera Yaki” (1,900 yen) with Pikachu’s face printed on it is recommended as a souvenir.
