New Balance Japan will release its “Ellipse” running shoes on March 12. The price is 17,390 yen.
The concept is to “regain the feeling of running without time,” and the shoes were developed as shoes that allow runners to enjoy running freely and naturally. The shoes are equipped with “Fresh Foam X,” a midsole that emphasizes shock absorption and cushioning, while also providing elasticity and a comfortable fit for the sole.
Another key point is the breathability of the multi-layered mesh, which was designed for each part of the foot. The coloring also reflects the arrangement of the mesh, with a light blue and dark green color scheme.
In addition, New Balance Run Hub Yoyogi Koen (1-1-1 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will sell a limited edition color (SILVER/LIME) painted entirely in lime and silver. As part of the store’s first anniversary project, a coating service that protects shoes from ultraviolet rays, moisture and dirt will be offered to those who purchase the limited edition color. Also, a special photo booth will be available for customers who try on “Ellipse” from March 12 to 22.
