Kansai Airport announced that the opening date of Terminal 2 (domestic flights) at Kansai International Airport has been set for April 1.
Terminal 2, which opened in 2012 and is currently used by Peach Aviation for domestic flights, will be renovated from August 2025 and reopen on April 1.
After renovation, automatic baggage check-in machines were introduced, the security checkpoint was expanded with the introduction of three 20-meter smart lanes, and a food court consisting of four restaurants was built in the expanded boarding area.
Of the food court, Azusa Coffee and Kagonoya will open ahead of time on April 1, while Ramen Box and Gottsuye Honpo are scheduled to open in the fall of 2026. Business hours are from 5:30 to 20:15.
