JR Kyushu to Sell Limited Edition SUGOCA Commemorating Miyazaki Area Expansion. Collaboration design by Tegevajaro Miyazaki and Via Amaterasu Miyazaki.

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

JR Kyushu and Shintomi Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, will sell specially designed SUGOCA tickets in collaboration with a local soccer club to commemorate the expansion of the Miyazaki area for the SUGOCA IC card ticket system.

The area expansion was implemented on January 17, and the range of available services was extended to include Hyuga Shintomi Station on the Nippo Main Line and Aoshima Station on the Nichinan Line. To commemorate this expansion, limited edition cards featuring the emblems and characters of the Tegevajaro Miyazaki and Viamaterasu Miyazaki clubs, both of which have Shintomi Town as their home town, were jointly produced.

The tickets will be on sale for two days from March 21 to 22 at Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Soccer Field in Shintomi Town, and will not be sold at JR Kyushu station counters.

Numbered tickets will be distributed from 10:00 a.m. on both days, and will be sold in exchange for numbered tickets from 12:00 p.m. Priority for numbered tickets will be given to residents of Shintomi Town or holders of that day’s game ticket or season pass. When purchasing a ticket, you will be required to present a ticket to the game or an official identification card such as a My Number card to prove that you are a resident of the town.

The card type is SUGOCA for adults with no name, and the price is 2000 yen (500 yen deposit + 1500 yen charge). Payment is by cash only. The number of cards issued is limited to 1,700. 850 cards will be sold for each day’s game, with a limit of one card per person.
