JR East and JR East Logistics have begun accepting applications in advance and providing availability information via their website for “Hakobun,” a luggage transportation service by train. The service will start on March 16.
The service covers “Hakobun Quick” and “Same-day Hotel Delivery Service,” which can be applied for by individuals and accepted at station counters on the same day. The service allows passengers to specify the station to be used and the train to be used 30 days in advance, reducing the time required to go through the procedures at the station on the day of travel. In addition, credit card payment, which has not been available at the counter until now, will be supported.
Same-day applications at station counters will continue to be accepted.
