The Nishinippon Shimbun, Nishinippon Shimbun Event Service, and FBS Fukuoka Broadcasting System will hold a special exhibition, “The Great Dinosaur Exhibition: The Evolution of Theropods Explored from the ‘Fukui'” at Fukuoka City Museum (3-1-1 Momochihama, Sagara-ku, Fukuoka City). The exhibition will be held from April 24 to June 28.

With the full cooperation of the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, which attracts dinosaur fans from all over Japan, we focus on three theropod species named “Fukui” among the new species of dinosaurs discovered so far in Fukui Prefecture, and on the Spinosauridae family, which is expected to be discovered in the future. The exhibition unravels the diverse evolutionary history of this “carnivorous family.

Also on sale at the venue are limited-edition goods for the Great Dinosaur Exhibition. The lineup includes Spinosaurus stickers (330 yen), T-shirts (2,750 yen), and tote bags (1,870 yen), all originally designed for the Fukuoka venue.

In addition, visitors can experience painting a palm-sized white dinosaur and participate in a game corner where they can scoop glittering dinosaur figures with a dinosaur ladle.

Admission is 2000 yen for adults (1900 yen in advance), 1200 yen for high school and university students (1100 yen in advance), 900 yen for elementary and junior high school students (800 yen in advance), and 400 yen for preschool children over 3 years old (300 yen in advance).
