Fixed-rate discount for motorcycles” on expressways on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays starting April 4; 37.5% discount for over 80 km

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Three NEXCO companies and the Miyagi Prefecture Road Public Corporation will offer a “fixed rate discount for motorcycles” on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The discount applies to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 4 to November 29 (until October 31 in Hokkaido).

The program offers a 37.5% discount for a single trip of more than 80 km on eligible expressway segments. The program has been implemented annually since 2022 to stimulate demand for weekend touring.

Advance application through the NEXCO Central Japan “Hayatabi” website is required to use the service, but applications can be made even just before the tour, taking into account the weather and other factors on the day of the tour, via smartphone or other means.

The subject roads are expressways managed by the three NEXCO companies and the Miyagi Prefecture Road Public Corporation. The Daisan Keihin Road, Yokohama New Road, Yokohama-Yokosuka Road, Daini-Hanna Road, Daini-Shinmei Road, Kanmon Tunnel, Yagiyama Bypass, Okinawa Road, and Tokyo Bay Aqualine are not included.

When connecting to a qualifying road via a specific IC or a new direct-controlled section, the distance traveled on each qualifying road is totaled as one trip. In addition, when using a route that meets the requirements for a holiday or late-night discount, the discount with the lowest fare will be applied.

For details on the eligibility of discounts for the section to be used, the applicable distance, and the fare after discount, please visit NEXCO West Japan’s “Distance and Fare Search Site.
