Red Cliff will hold a special one-night-only edition of the “One World, One Planet.” drone show, a popular nighttime event at Expo ‘2025 Futures Festival,” a memorial event for the first anniversary of Expo ‘2025 in Osaka and Kansai. The show will be held on April 12 from 7:30 to 7:45 p.m. (tentative).
This year’s theme is “Participatory Drone Show,” and crowdfunding will begin at 7:00 p.m. on March 27. The amount of support will range from 3,000 yen to 500,000 yen (regardless of the target amount), and will be used to pay for equipment, personnel, security, and other expenses.
Returns will include tickets to see the drone show in a special area (from 10,000 yen) and limited-edition goods such as kompeito can sets and holiday tote bags.
There is also a plan that includes a certificate of support with your name on it (image and physical card) and your name and company name in the end roll of the archived video to be released at a later date, allowing those who cannot make it to the site on the day of the event to be involved in the project.
The “One World, One Planet.” drone show was held 171 times during the Expo, with a total of 140,194 drones flown, including the preparation period. An estimated 8.76 million people viewed the show, which was also recognized by Guinness World Records as “the most multi-rotor drones flown in one year.
For the first anniversary event of the opening of the Expo, the creative team from the time of the Expo was reunited. Kenji Kobashi, event planning producer, Atsushi Kameyama, creative director, and other members of Red Cliff will create a drone show for this event based on the production that decorated the night sky at the Expo.
Depending on the amount of support from the public, the “Giant Myakmyak,” the much talked-about surprise performance on the closing day, may also become a reality.
