Enoshima Electric Railway will build a new ticket gate and restrooms on the platform of Line 2 (Kamakura direction) at Enoshima Station. They are scheduled to be put into service on April 1.
Currently, there is only one ticket gate near Fujisawa, but a new ticket gate near Kamakura will be installed. The existing ticket gate on Line 1 (toward Fujisawa) will be called “A ticket gate,” the existing ticket gate on Line 2 will be called “B ticket gate,” and the newly installed ticket gate will be called “C ticket gate.
In addition to automatic ticket vending machines, simple ticket checkers and credit card/QR code ticket checkers will be installed at ticket gate C. In addition, restrooms (with multi-functional restrooms) will be built next to the ticket gates. In addition, restrooms (with multi-functional toilets) will be newly installed next to the ticket gates, allowing passengers to use the restrooms on both platforms.
The company also announced that the restrooms at Shonan Kaigan Koen Station will be discontinued as of March 31 due to aging.
