BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai” The Legacy is now open in the Yurindo area! You can spend a whole day here alone with a cafe, bazaar, bookstore, and shared office space!

Eight companies, including Mitsui Fudosan, will open the large-scale complex “BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai” (1-1-1 Minato-machi, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on March 19. The interior of the building was unveiled to the press prior to the grand opening.

Here, we will focus on the Yurindo area, which utilizes the main structure, the “Former City Hall of Yokohama City”.

The former city hall of Yokohama City, located right in front of JR Kannai Station, appears as soon as you exit the station’s ticket gates. Designed by Togo Murano, it is designated as a historical building by the City of Yokohama. The Legacy” is a hotel and commercial complex that will make use of this building. The majority of the building is occupied by the Hoshino Resort hotel and Yurindo.

As a new cultural hub, Yurindo will feature a co-working & lounge, gallery & store, sundries, food, and food & beverage, and will take on a cultural aspect that includes not only finding books, but also using it as a café and viewing art in the gallery.

It is also nice to be able to purchase items you think you “want right now” while sightseeing in Yokohama or staying at the hotel. and other items that you may want to buy while you are sightseeing in Yokohama or staying at the hotel.
