Alaska Airlines’ First “International Business Class Suite. Fully private, full-flat seats, to be introduced in the fall on the Seattle-Narita route.

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Alaska Airlines has announced its first premium service for long-haul routes, “International Business Class Suites,” in conjunction with the expansion of nonstop flights to Europe and Asia, starting with flights from Seattle to Rome, which will begin on April 28, and gradually introduced this spring. On Japan routes, the service will be introduced on the Seattle-Narita route in the fall.

The new Business Class Suites will be installed on Boeing 787-9 aircraft (Dreamliner). It is a private, full-flat suite specification with privacy doors, and all seats face the aisle and are said to feature spacious seating comfort.

It also features an 18-inch HD monitor with more than 1,500 movies and dramas, a noise-reducing headset, power supply, and wireless charging capabilities. Starlink, a free high-speed Wi-Fi service, is scheduled to be introduced this fall. The service has already been launched on select aircraft and will be available on participating aircraft from May onward by logging in to Atmos Rewards, a new loyalty program created through the merger of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

For bedding and amenities, the airline has partnered with U.S.-based brand Filson to provide premium bedding such as thick mattress pads, large comforters, and pillows to support comfortable long-distance travel. The limited edition amenity bag will include Salt & Stone skincare products and travel essentials. A special reusable water bottle by PATH will also be provided.

The in-flight menu offers a choice of up to six different main dishes for each route. For example, on the Rome route, roasted chicken and carbonara pasta are served, and on the Incheon (Seoul) route, gochujang chicken with traditional banchan is served.

They can also enjoy West Coast wines, craft beers, and freshly brewed coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters.

Prior to departure, oneworld partner lounges around the world are available, and oneworld Emerald members, the highest tier, have access to first class lounges regardless of their class of travel.

International premium class and main cabin (general seating) passengers will also receive complimentary meals and Filson blankets and pillows.

In particular, they have improved features and services in premium class, such as 4 inches more legroom than usual, 12-inch HD monitors, power outlets, complimentary alcoholic beverages, and Filson amenity kits.
