Universal Studios Japan will hold its 25th anniversary event “Discover U! (Discover U!!!)” to celebrate its 25th anniversary from March 4.
The “NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U! Version,” which will be held in a wide area of the park, will feature all of the park’s friends, including Pokemon, Mario, Hello Kitty, Snoopy, Minion, SING, Sesame Street, Woody & Winnie, and many more. It features a new song, “The Power of U,” and the costumes and floats are colorful and unique to the 25th anniversary.
Of particular note is the Pokemon Unit, which features as many as 25 Pikachus. Pikachu will be flying through the air, riding on the backs of entertainers, and being held in their arms. A giant Pikachu, dressed up in a hat and jacket, also performs a lively dance on a float.
The Mario Kart unit recreates the Rainbow Road race. Watch out for the karts and the entertainers in crystal-colored Hatena blocks.
In addition, Hollywood Boulevard and Gramercy Park will host “Super Discover U! Time” will be held at Hollywood Boulevard and Gramercy Park. The floats will pause, so everyone can dance, frolic, and go wild.
The parade is held once a day and lasts approximately 40 minutes. In the special viewing area (2,100 yen), Woody & Winnie will come right up to the guests.
