The three new planes are each designed in the motif of the three colors of the “Pokemon” series: red, green, and blue, the starting point of the series. The new planes will be used on international routes and, for the first time in about 10 years, on domestic routes as well. The airline will announce the specific paint designs and the timing of the new flights in May.

On February 25, ANA and Pokemon Inc. announced that three specially painted “Pokemon Jets” will enter service in 2026 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the birth of “Pokemon”.

The two companies have operated the world’s first “Pokemon Jet” since 1998. Currently, ANA is participating in the “Sky Flying Pikachu Project,” which aims to bring the joy of freedom of movement to people around the world, and has painted a total of eight aircraft, including the “Pikachu Jet NH” and “EVE Jet NH”.

The year 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of “Pokemon Red and Green” on February 27, 1996. 2026 also marks the 40th anniversary of the start of international flights for ANA, and the two companies have positioned this milestone year as an important opportunity to convey a new brand experience and appreciation to their fans in Japan and abroad, as well as to the children who will lead the next generation. ANA considers this year as an important opportunity to convey new brand experience and appreciation to domestic and international fans as well as children who will lead the next generation, under the concept of “Exciting Journey with Pokemon”.

In addition to the special painted aircraft, the airline will also be involved in a variety of campaigns and other initiatives to bring the worlds of ANA and Pokémon to life.
