USJ’s Super Star’s “Popcorn Bucket” is getting a special edition for one year only! Try the “Invincible Mode” that glows with background music! “Super Nintendo World” celebrates its 5th anniversary!

Universal Studios Japan will hold events to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the opening of the popular “Super Nintendo World” area starting today, March 18.

The theme is “We are all STARS!” The theme is “We are all STARS! The limited edition “Popcorn Bucket” (4,800 yen) will also go on sale on the same day. We have obtained a copy, and will introduce its design and functions.

The popcorn buckets sold in the Super Nintendo World area are usually yellow buckets with a Superstar motif. For the anniversary year only, this will be transformed into a special version that will flash in a variety of colors with background music.

During the daytime, it looks like an ordinary star, but when switched on, it transforms into an “invincible” mode with the familiar background music of when you get a Super Star and a shiny light. At night or in a dark place, the star stands out even more, and you can experience the simulated power of an “invincible Mario” who has won a Superstar.

The included strap is also colorfully designed with the 5th anniversary logo for a special touch. The strap is removable, so the star can be displayed as a unique interior decoration after returning home.

Incidentally, the popcorn will be available in a sweet and sour “mixed fruit flavor” for a limited time only.

Buckets and popcorn will be sold at the Pit Stop Popcorn wagon in the area.
