Universal Studios Japan will hold events to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the opening of the popular “Super Nintendo World” area starting today, March 18.
Under the theme “We are all STARS! (We are all STARS!), the theme of the event is “We are all STARS!” Over the course of a year, limited-edition projects, goods, and special foods full of “Super Stars,” items that make you “invincible,” familiar from Mario games, will be developed. At the opening ceremony, seven Naniwa Boys appeared as special guests and shared their memories of Super Nintendo World and their love for the characters.
Joichiro Fujiwara and Kazuya Ohashi experienced “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge,” an attraction that has been popular since its opening. In the “Key Challenge,” an activity in which players wear power-up bands on their arms, Kyohei Takahashi, Ryusei Onishi, and Kensha Nagao played “Atsume wo Boom Heyi Barabara Puzzle,” while Shunsuke Michigi and Kazuya Ohashi played “Bowser’s Challenge,” a popular attraction since the opening of the park! Bomuhei Barabara Puzzle” by Kyohei Takahashi, Ryusei Onishi and Kensha Nagao, and Shunsuke Michigui and Daigo Nishihata joined hands to play “Soriero! Dosun Flip Panel.
The seven members of Naniwa Otoko show outstanding teamwork at concerts and variety shows. During the ceremony, they held an “anniversary box-opening ceremony,” not a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and challenged to pull ribbons together like a tug-of-war. As colorful confetti and balloons flew out of the box and danced in the air, they shouted “We are all stars! The event opened with a lively “We are all stars!
