The City of Yokohama announced that Ryohin Keikaku will be in charge of producing staff uniforms for Yokohama’s exhibiting facilities at GREENxEXPO 2027 (International Gardening Exposition 2027).
The uniforms will be used at the Urban GX Village, which is located near the main gate of the GREENxEXPO 2027 venue and is one of the two locations that will be set up at GREENxEXPO 2027.
Unwanted clothing is used as raw materials for the uniforms. Clothing collection is accepted at ward offices and other locations until March 31.
Ryohin Keikaku was in charge of designing and engineering the uniforms. The company’s environmentally conscious selection of materials and procurement of raw materials, led by its MUJI business, and its aim to realize a resource-rich environment, symbiosis with nature, and a sustainable society, have a high affinity with the concept of the Yokohama exhibition facilities, “Circular City YOKOHAMA, where the world’s tomorrow is opened together with everyone.
This production will incorporate the “easy recycling design” that has already been adopted in MUJI products, which facilitates recycling by designing products with a single material.
