NEXCO Central Japan has put on sale a round-trip pass that allows you to accumulate additional ETC Mileage Points when you make a return trip during a specific time period on holidays! Chuo Expressway leisurely pass” will go on sale. The period of use is from April 4 to March 28, 2027 (maximum of two consecutive days).

On the Chuo Highway, congestion occurs between 13:00 and 19:00 on weekends and holidays near Kobutsu Tunnel (uphill), but since it is generally resolved after 19:00, the aim is to avoid congestion by delaying the departure time of the return trip to the Tokyo metropolitan area, while increasing the time spent in Yamanashi and revitalizing the region.

The discount rate and point redemption rate are set by dividing the time of the return trip through the entrance IC into three categories, with a maximum discount of approximately 4% or 35% redemption offered between 19:00 and 24:00, after congestion.

The departure and arrival areas are Takaido – Fuchu Smart, Kunitachi Fuchu, and Hachioji, and the destination areas are Uenohara, Kawaguchiko/Katsunuma – Dangozaka Smart, Kofu Showa – Ichinomiya Misaka, Kobuchizawa – Nirasaki, and Rokugo – Shirane/Futaba Smart (see separate table).
