On March 13, Lime announced that it will unify its electric mobility offerings in Japan with the “Lime Rakumo,” a sit-down vehicle. The transition has already been completed in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and is expected to be completed in the Okinawa area (Naha City and Ishigaki City) by the end of this spring.
After entering the Japanese market in 2024, the company has offered two types of electric mobility vehicles: a standing type (so-called electric kickboard) and a seated type. As a result, the company decided to terminate the provision of the standing type.
