On March 11, APA Group held a groundbreaking ceremony at the planned site of APA Hotel (234 Suwa Sakae-cho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, and other lot numbers).
This will be the third directly managed hotel in Mie Prefecture, following APA Hotel Suzuka Chuo and APA Hotel Mie Kameyama, and the first directly managed hotel in the prefecture. The 385-room hotel will be the largest in the prefecture.
It is located in front of Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station and Yokkaichi Asunaro Station, a 2-minute walk from both stations. Yokkaichi City is one of the largest commercial and industrial cities in the prefecture, and with the Kioxia Yokkaichi Plant, one of the world’s largest flash memory manufacturing bases, and other facilities, demand for business lodging is expected to increase. The location is also well suited for leisure demand from visitors to the Suzuka Circuit, Nagashima Spa Land, and Nabana-no-sato.
The 14-story building will have a large public bath with outdoor hot spring, sauna facilities, and a restaurant. The building will be designed by Nikki Sekkei Sekkei, constructed by Ichiken, and designed and supervised by Tsujimoto Design Office.
Standard room specifications will include a 50-inch or larger LCD TV (65-inch for Deluxe Twin), a centralized lighting and air conditioning remote controller, a new air conditioner with highly concentrated nanoe X, and an ultra-fine bubble showerhead. The front desk will also be equipped with a check-in machine that is compatible with all reservation routes, a dedicated non-contact application check-in machine that completes procedures without waiting, and an express check-out post that automatically processes room card keys when they are dropped in.
