Takarajimasya’s “100 Temples and Shrines in Kyoto You Must Visit at Least Once in Your Life” goes on sale today. The special feature is a tour of places related to the Toyotomi family.

Takarajimasha released “100 Temples and Shrines in Kyoto You Must Visit at Least Once in Your Life, Special Feature: Tour of Places Related to the Toyotomi Family” today, March 11, 2012. The price is 1,790 yen.

100 temples and shrines in Kyoto, carefully selected by area, ranging from famous to unknown temples and shrines. Also included are “Toyokuni Shrine,” built to worship Toyotomi Hideyoshi, “Daikoin Temple,” where Hidenaga is buried, and other temples and shrines related to the Toyotomi family that are the subject of the popular historical drama, “Toyotomi Brothers! and “Daikoin” where Hidenaga’s grave is located. The book is supervised by religious scholar Hiromi Shimada.

In addition, the book includes a “super-detailed map of Kyoto,” information on seasonal attractions, information on temples and shrines, walking courses, and other information useful for sightseeing.
