Gunma Safari Park (1 Okamoto, Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture) changed the exhibition area for white tiger twins “Uranus” and “Elios” to “Wild Cat’s World” in the Walking Safari Zone in early March.
In the past, the free-range exhibit held in the wildebeest area (tiger zone) was held in a vast breeding space where the animals were free to move around, so the twins were often far away from each other.
In addition, the exhibit used to be held only two days a week (Monday and Friday), but with the move, it will now be held every day (subject to change depending on the animals’ physical condition). A new “feeding experience” for the twins will also begin on weekends (Saturday, Sunday, and holiday afternoons) only.
White tigers “Yuffa” and “Baggio,” which were on display at Wildcats World, have been moved to the Raging Animals Zone. The company hopes that visitors will be able to compare their new appearances in each area.
Gunma Safari Park is offering a spring-only “Full Day Enjoyment Set Plan” that includes admission, a bus ticket for a feeding experience, and a special 6-pack of 6 tickets until April 5. The price is 4800 yen for adults (usually 5200 yen), 3300 yen for children (usually 3600 yen), and 4500 yen for those aged 65 and over (usually 4800 yen).
In addition, from March 14 to April 5, a special spring event, “Fureai Full Bloom! Spring Vacation at Gunma Safari” will be held from March 14 to April 5.
