I went to “The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi” overlooking the Andaman Sea. And the shopping situation in Langkawi

Souvenir shopping around Chenang Beach Chenang Beach (Pantai Chenang) is the busiest main beach area on the island. On the eve of our last day, we enjoyed shopping at “Chenang Mall” along the main street, which is a small two-story shopping mall, so do not expect a large mall like the one in Waikiki (laugh). There is also a Starbucks and “Old Town White Coffee,” a chain of cafes from Malaysia, in the vicinity. Gekko Mini Market, a two-minute walk from PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, where we stayed, is a store that is more than a convenience store and less than a supermarket, with a surprisingly large number of products and superb displays. As I was looking around the small store for something interesting, a bottle with a picture of a rhinoceros on it caught my eye. I was told that this was the famous cooling water in Malaysia. It surely says “COOLING WATER” on the bottle! I bought a bottle to drink when I catch a cold, for RM2 (78 yen). So far I haven’t had a fever, so I don’t know how effective it is.
