The Osaka Marathon Organizing Committee will enforce traffic regulations in conjunction with the “Osaka Marathon 2026 (14th Osaka Marathon)” to be held on February 22.
From around 7:15 to 16:35, lane restrictions and highway entrance/exit road closures will be implemented as the competition progresses. A wide area of the city, including Tenjinbashi-suji, Midosuji, Sennichimae-dori, and Imazato-suji, will be covered.
In addition, a portion of Osaka Castle Park, the starting and finishing point of the event, will be off-limits from around 6:30 a.m., and parking will be unavailable from the 21st (dates of restriction vary by parking lot).
The organizers are asking visitors to refrain from traveling on the course and surrounding roads while the restrictions are in place, and are also calling for caution as crossing the course will not be allowed.
Regulation times at major locations are as follows
West side of Osaka Castle Park (around the starting point): around 7:15 – 10:40
Tenjinbashi-suji (Tenjinbashi 6 to Tenjinbashi): approx. 8:50 – 11:20
Midosuji (Oebashi Minami-zume to Shinbashi): 9:10 – 11:55 a.m.
Sennichimae Dori (Shiomibashi to Namba): approx. 9:25 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Imazato-suji (Imazato-Midoribashi): approx. 10:40 – 16:05
